What is a lymphatic drainage massage?
Lymphatic drainage massage is a system of techniques that help the lymphatic system to function effectively.
What does it do?
It improves the circulation of lymph which helps fluid drainage from cells and the elimination of waste. The lymphatic drainage massage improves also the production and distribution of antibodies and lymphoocytes thus boosting immunity from disease. It stimulates the lymphatic system’s filtering process thus helping remove toxins and bacteria from the body.

How is made
This type of massage combines gentle pressure with soft pumping movements in the direction of the lymphnodes. Since the lymph vessels are superficial the massage has to be soft, not hard, because otherwise it could close the valves in the lymph vessels and consequently stop the circulation. That why all the movements should be carried out slowly.
